📢 Announcing the New/Mode Accessibility Fund

The Fund will provide support for organizations shaping critical decisions toward a Just Recovery from COVID-19.

Together with Luminate, New/Mode is pleased to announce a new initiative to support underfunded organizations working to shape government decisions and advocate for the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The New/Mode Accessibility Fund will grant subsidized access to our powerful digital platform to groups that are working to respond to COVID-19 and the associated economic downturn but are facing financial barriers.

A critical time to act

Government decisions made in the coming months are literally life and death for many people. These decisions will shape our society for years, if not decades, to come.

Multi-channel engagement tools and tactics, like New/Mode’s, have become essential for modern campaigners working to make change. Yet many of the communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 lack the resources to access these tools.

In recent weeks, a number of underfunded groups have reached out to New/Mode for support in ensuring they have a role in shaping the historic government decisions currently being made in response to COVID-19.

We’ve received inquiries to support the most vulnerable in society who are disproportionately impacted by policies regarding access to healthcare, economic stimulus, workplace protection, voter rights protections, renter protections, and general support for at-risk populations such as undocumented immigrants and those in prison.

Our commitment to supporting communities in need

At New/Mode, we want to do our part to meet this moment by ensuring officials make decisions for the common good and with those most vulnerable in mind. 

Thanks to Luminate’s generous support, the New/Mode Accessibility Fund will enable us to support organizers and campaigners doing important, necessary work towards a fairer, more sustainable future.
